FALL MEETING # 2 2017:  Our next meeting will be on Wednesday November 15th, beginning at 4pm at Yakima Maker Space with a SLUGME webinar presentation at 4:30pm from Todd Blacksher of the SOLIDWORKS User Group of Nebraska (SWUGONE) on “All the Small Things”. The majority of the presentation will be spent working in SOLIDWORKS, and showing tips and tricks that people may or may not know about. Keyboard Shortcuts, User Interface, Sheet Metal, Weldments, Templates, and Custom Properties are just a few of the things on the menu. This will be followed up with a discussion of the SLUGME tips and tricks and a SolidWorks Clinic demonstration where a variety of troublesome part and assembly files will diagnosed and remedied with group involvement.  Along with pizza, pop and Prizes.

PRESENTATIONS:
“All Things Small” – a simulcast Tips and Tricks presentation by Todd Blacksher.  In this encore of last year's successful SLUGME (SolidWorks Largest User Group Meeting Ever) event, Todd Blacksher presents a fast-paced spin though dozens of live demonstrations that cover a little bit of everything: shortcuts, user interface, sheet metal, weldments, templates, custom properties and more!

SolidWorks Clinic by Chris Scarlett and Hector Reyes.  Send us your troublesome parts and assemblies, or we will create or bring our own, and we’ll make a diagnosis and come up with some treatment options and remedy these files. Audience participation is required (if you want a decent grade).

Bios:

Todd Blacksher started using SolidWorks in 2002, earning his CSWP in 2005, and CSWE in 2015, plus another 11 certifications in between. He's worked in the fields of electronics, aviation, automation equipment, and laboratory test equipment, in addition to working as an Application Engineer for the local SolidWorks VAR.

RAFFLE:  Great raffle prizes form our great sponsors available at the end of our presentations.
Upcoming Meeting: on Wednesday November 15th, the second annual SLUGME event.  Don’t miss it!

Social Media: Please join us on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn and stay in touch with group happenings.

FUTURE MEETINGS:                                                                                    Back to the Top

Upcoming Meetings: Stay Tuned!

Hosting Future Meetings:  If your firm is willing to host and give us tour of your facilities that would be most welcome.  Please let me know if you can help here by emailing Chris Scarlett.  One additional advantage to hosting is that it provides some additional funds (that would normally go to renting a room) that we can use to serve a more interesting and compelling dinner fare.

PRESENTERS:  If you have a suggestion on a speaker or topic for any meeting or if you would like to present, please contact Chris Scarlett.

Chris Scarlett, Hector Reyes and the YSWUG Team.
